Clubs are special usergroups that come with their own forum. Members may add their own clubs, and manage them as the club leader.
Images of the day ('IOTD') are images which are routinely rotated on your site. These are not images from the gallery or attachment systems - they are stored and managed separately.
IOTDs are not on your front page by default, you need to add the main_iotd block yourself.
Warning: these sites are outside our control.

Wiki+ is a tree-structured (hierarchical) database of pages and posts which is in many ways like a forum system, but presented in an encyclopaedic style, and designed to have a deep and extensible hierarchy. Wiki+ can also be configured to behave just like a wiki system, by linking pages purely by using hypertext links. It is a collaborative, community-driven tool for the organisation of media and information; unlike wikis it is capable of providing a well-organised structure, with flexible permissions to allow the staff complete control over how open the system will be.
Information is presented using Comcode and the Comcode attachment system, meaning there is excellent support for rich media. Wiki+ is ideal for storing collaboratively/interactively extended information with a high organisational factor; the speed of which information can be added is also particularly advantageous. This pattern works very well for types of ad-hoc guide, especially community-driven ones.
Polls are a popular feature, and often used for a number of purposes including:
- to charge the atmosphere of an interactive website
- to increase the feeling that the website is regularly updated, by changing polls
- to gather feedback from those who are not likely to go to the efforts to write it down
- to generally find answers to questions that may not be very important, but difficult to find the answer to without a poll
Use news to update your visitors with your latest updates, announcements, press releases, or articles.
A calendar is provided in Composr, which also features an advanced scheduling system. The calendar may be used as:
- a normal calendar
- a personal diary/schedule
- a system command scheduling system (automatically executed background tasks)
- or a mixture of the above, depending on the properties chosen for the various events in the system.
A gallery system is provided for the storage, organisation and viewing of images and videos. The gallery serves much like a gallery in reality: as a direct presentation medium.
Members on this website can have a Blog (an online journal), via personal news categories. Here you can easily submit blog posts directly to your personal news category.
The download system is a system for the storage, organisation and distribution of files to visitors – specifically designed to be an effective tool on sites with very large numbers of downloads. A file in this system is called a Download.
Note that the download system is not intended for placing articles: there is a dedicated news/articles system for this. You may still use it to store articles if you prefer to, in formats such as PDF.
The banner system lets you set up one or more banners to display. It allows 'rotating' (randomising) these banners, with various related control options. The system is designed to be flexible, such that it can serve a number of different purposes, including:
- Serving banners directly from a third-party banner network, via the HTML they provide for you to include in your site
- Serving your own set of banners (perhaps paid banners, or perhaps community banners)
- Serving community banners, bought via the Point Store
- Creating your own banner network between independent sites, where sites get as many views/clicks out as they provide in (i.e. a banner exchange program)
There are three kinds of quiz:
- surveys, which simply collect results (there are no correct answers)
- tests, which people may pass or fail
- competitions, which have results and possibly, a winner
All quizzes consist of a series of questions.
Quizzes are a very powerful tool for you to bring a level of interactive community that few other websites have, or for which other websites rely on the services of external websites for.
